Hi Alla,

very often Google does only show a small segment of data,
or as in your case no data at all.

One indication for this could be a bad linking profile, a very new site,
or other things that made Google get unhappy – any of those things apply to you?

This article uncovered that my website that I am actively working on http://SmallBusinessClicks.biz has no similar sites and returns an error when I put the ‘related:’ query in Google search box.

Now I need to let Google know what my link neighborhood is. If you can give me clue of what is the best and fastest way to do, I would deeply appreciate. Thanks!

I am giving you a lot of credit for speaking about ‘good or bad link neighborhood’. I do not see too many people raising this question. I became aware of this problem as my websites started climbing the PageRank ladder. I starting clicking on the links people leave in comments. What I found out was horrible. There were porno sites, drug promoting sites, totally dead sites, etc. So, my rule is to click on the link people leave in comments. If I am not happy, I delete the comment. That’s how I understood ‘good or bad link neighborhood’ so far.

But this article puts a new twist on the problem for me. The problem is even deeper than I thought about it. I am very grateful to you for putting this new twist into my mind.

Great post! Many webmasters forget to look at the quality of other outgoing links on pages they are trying to get linked from. I have often passed on otherwise great link opportunities because of this.

Most companies are just looking to increase the number of links to their website and are not aware quality of neighbourhood.

I get hundreds of emails a day, so I had all these ones from Cemper in a box. Just ploughing through them now. I read some heavy none fiction books, and this beats anything. This is easy to understand in comparison. I get the good neighbourhood concept right away. This Christopher Cemper is promoted into my top ten cool people on the net.

Thanks for the article. This is the clearest and most detailed explanation I have seen on “citation building”. Everyone talks about inbound link quality and rank but no one talks much about the neighborhood concept. Most recently I had a prospect in my office who was in the insurance business. He was spending big bucks with an SEO company and was looking to redesign his web site. After runing some SEOMoz reports I found what terrible unrelated places the SEO company placed his site. For example cosmetic surgery. Give me a break.
