Today CEMPER.COM was awarded the #28 out of 1700 entries in the Gewinn Young Entrepreneurs Award 2008 (“Jungunternehmerwettbewerb”). Needless to say, the CEMPER.COM team was pretty impressed with this.
This contest is setup by THE Austrian top finance magazine GEWINN and sponsored by various company, including the huge UniCredit’s Bank Austria, Orange Telecom (former called ONE) in Austria as well as several other Austrian organizations.
The panel included Dr. Martin Bartenstein (federal minister of economics and labor), Michael Krammer (CEO or Orange.at) as well as Bank Austria’s CEO Erich Hampel.
It was an impressing and inspiring thing to hear what other fabulous and young companies we have here in Austria, and despite the financial crisis it’s obvious that there’s a lot of potentitial for international business entrepreneurs in Austria. Some of the top winners achieved such great things as develop and APPROVE a pharmaceutical drug, all made from ingredients from the deep sea – in only 2 years with private equity alone. Others built industrial robots that could be taught much in a way as you teach a child. No programming skills would be required.
CEMPER.COM was also nominee in the special category “IT & eCommerce” but the robot teachers won that one as well. It’s hard to compete with such great achievements by doing “only” internet search marketing, isn’t it?
But then the best part of all started, networking and developing relations to other entrepreneurs – and to be frank, we have some pretty interesting plans for the future thanks to these few hours Christoph spent on this Award.
As an additional benefit we’re going to be listed at GEWINN’s homepage for a year now – and that’s some trusted citation and reference for future employees, clients and partners.
Alltogether, the GEWINN Jungunternehmer Wettbewerb was fun and a success for us!
